Vegan Coconut Nut Slab with Cardamom and Orange
This delicious recipe and video is for people who like a toned down version of cacao, for some the taste and flavour of pure cacao butter and powder is a little potent, so I created this recipe with coconut milk to tone it down and give it a dreamy and creamy texture! This was filmed last year in our tiny kitchen in Italy, right before my book was released.
Enjoy xx
Here is the recipe
- 1 cup of cacao powder
- 1/2 cup of cacao butter
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup
- 1/4 cup of virgin coconut oil
- pinch of pink salt
- 1/2 cup of coconut cream
- 2 drops of cardamom oil and 8 drops of wild orange oil (dōTERRA only!)
- 1/3 cup of walnuts
- 1/3 cup of brazil nuts
- 1 teaspoon of Lucuma powder
- 1 scoop of hemp protein
Melt the cacao butter and coconut oil first, then slowly add all other ingredients in, mixing well (I would actually take the double boiler bowl off the saucepan as this demonstration it was a little hot and it doesn't need to be so!)
Add nuts to a silicon tray first, and pour over mixture when it is prepared! Place into the refrigerator and serve in about an hour. It melts quickly, but is so smooth and delicious it wont last long!! Enjoy
