Simple non toxic surface spray

🍋 This is all I use for kitchen benches, the laundry and bathrooms!

It costs me very little to make, and knowing it’s non toxic for my home, lungs and hands is perfect.

😷 Why we ditched the chemical sprays

So many commercial cleaning sprays are full of harsh chemicals and artificial fragrances that linger in the air we breathe and on the surfaces we eat from. Once we made the switch, we honestly couldn’t go back. No more holding our breath while we clean!

💧 What’s in our spray

– On Guard Cleaner Concentrate: a plant-based cleaner infused with On Guard essential oil blend (Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus and Rosemary). It cuts through grime beautifully and smells like Christmas!
– Lemon oil: good ol’ Lemon is a natural degreaser, perfect for stovetops, benches and sticky messes.
– Water: that’s it!

🧴 How to make it, step by step

1. Grab a 500ml spray bottle, ideally glass or a good quality plastic one that’s safe for essential oils.
2. Add the On Guard Cleaner Concentrate, following the dilution guide on the bottle for an all-purpose spray.
3. Add 10 drops of Lemon essential oil.
4. Top up with water (filtered or cooled boiled water lasts longer).
5. Pop the lid on, give it a gentle shake and label it.

– Kitchen benches, stovetops and splashbacks
– Bathroom sinks, taps and tiles
– Laundry surfaces and the washing machine door seal
– Highchairs, fridge shelves and lunchboxes

💡 Our tips

– Give it a quick shake before each use.
– Spray, leave it for a minute on greasy spots, then wipe with a damp microfibre cloth.
– Swap the Lemon for Wild Orange, Lime or Purify if you want to change the scent.
– Test on a small hidden area first on natural stone or delicate surfaces.
